02/11/2010 - Patti Casteel: The AAWA cordially invites interested BAG members to join them for a plein air excursion. This is an early heads up since it is planned for September 15th, however it is an opportunity to check and mark your calendars. It will be held at Patti Casteel's lake house in the Irish Hills where there is a cottage, barn, garden and lake front available for sketching or painting. 09/07/2010 - Gisela Bosch: Fiber Friends, my current project is weaving the fabric for Window Shades for a Model A Ford. I am using D-Core Forest Green Thread put up in 8 oz cones with 6000 yards per cone, Tex 40. It is made by American and Efird, Inc out of Mt Holly, NC 28120. They are currently out of stock and my understanding is that it will be a while. If you have any idea where I could get more of this thread please let me know. Your help is much appreciated, Gisela It does not look like my idea of Forest Green, it is a rather dull toward brown green.
