Norma Gray Scholarship
The Brighton Art Guild's annual Norma Gray Scholarship for college students is sponsored by the Longfield Family Charitable Foundation. This $500 scholarship, to support the creative development of Michigan artists is, will be competitively awarded based upon an applicant's merit and goals in the visual arts. There is no cost to apply.

Eligibility
College students ages 17-25 who are residents of Michigan are eligible. Scholarship recipient(s) from the previous calendar year will not be considered
Requirements
Students must submit a completed scholarship application form along with an artist's goal statement, at least three, but no more than five, artwork samples (photo prints or jpgs only), and a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) for your notification.
Submitting Artwork Samples
Artwork samples may be submitted by color photo prints (4"x6" or larger) or jpg files on CD (150 dpi, with one of the dimensions being at least 5").
Securely label your photo prints or CD case with your name and list each artwork title, medium and size. If submitting jpg files on a CD, use the artwork title as the jpg file name, e.g., sunflowers.jpg.
If you wish to have your photo prints or CD returned, include a mailer with appropriate postage along with your entry form. The Guild is not responsible for returning submissions if a mailer with appropriate postage is not provided.
Artist's Goal Statement
Your artist's statement should be at least 50 words, and should describe what your art means to you, explain your work and process, and state your future goals.

Scholarship Award Presentation
The chosen scholarship recipient will be presented with their scholarship check during the opening reception of the Guild's annual Art Harvest Fine Art Juried Exhibition in October at the Howell Opera House, 123 W. Grand River Avenue, in downtown Howell, on Saturday, October 30, from 6-9pm.
