Art Harvest is the Guild's annual community-wide juried exhibition that brings together diversified
and exceptional local art, exhibited at the beautifully renovated Howell Opera House in downtown Howell.
The Guild proudly includes two categories for students, offering some young artists their first
formal exhibition experience in a juried show.

2008 Juror, Laura Whitesides Host
Laura Whitesides Host has a B.F.A.in painting and ceramics from University of Michigan;
teaches mixed media painting and monotype at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center and Visual Artist
Association of Livonia. She is also one of the founding members of the artist-run gallery,
Lawrence Street Gallery, in Ferndale, Michigan; and is on the executive boards of the
Michigan Water Color Society, Birmingham Society of Women Painters as well as Lawrence St. Gallery.
Whitesides Host has had many solo exhibits; has work in numerous juried shows statewide and nationally
and has paintings in many corporate and private collections and has been a juror for numerous Michigan exhibits.

In our second year, Art Harvest 2007 was a tremendous success.
We owe a great deal of gratitude to our sponsor First National Bank for their sponsorship
and support for this event. More than 300 people attended the Artist Reception,
where more than $1100 in cash prizes were awarded.

Art Harvest 2006
The Guild first launched this annual exhibition in October 2006, with the generous sponsorship of

where more than $850 in cash prizes were awarded.
